This month, I did my best to track how each check-in was sent from the originating stations. There are four categories: RF - (includes VARA HF, VARA FM, and AX.25) APRS - (all listed as Digital) TELNET - (for Winlink/WL2K) AXIP The net received 143 check-ins this month across all four modes: Packet Radio, Winlink, APRS, and VarAC. Thank you all for the excellent turnout! Our next net will start on January 18th, 2026. We encourage as many of you as possible to check in using one of the TPRFN stations whenever you can. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! -- 73 de Glenn N3MEL |

Don't feel obligated to enter a detailed message if it's difficult; the important part is the Subject line!
The VDEN website (https://vden.org) includes information about the Central Virginia BBSes, how to send personal mail and bulletins, and methods for connecting over RF (Packet / Vara via Terminal / Winlink / Outpost). Bulletins created on the N4VEM BBS will be forwarded over Vara FM to the KN4LQN BBS, which will then forward over Vara HF to the N3MEL BBS and the wider regional packet network.
