Good Day All,

Thank you again to everyone who checked in this month we received a total
of 66 check-ins. Most used an form of kind or another and answered the
questions. For those that are interested we are currently working the
details for a Grid Down Exercise in late spring or early summer.

For fun, I have posted the "feb25results.csv" file on my BBS that is
available using YAPP. Once connected to the BBS type the command "files"
& enter to see a list of available files. With you yapp capable program
request receive file "feb25results.csv" you must type the complete file
name with extension all lower case.

HOW: This net will accept check-ins via BBS Bulletins only. Send a check-in via any participating BBS, with active forwarding, any time during the week.

 
This month, net control has asked participants to send a check-in using one of the Packet HTML forms of their choice. Net is asking three questions that can be answered in the form message/comments:

  1. Would you have an interest in participating in a Grid Down RF only exercise which is currently in the planning stages for late spring this year?

  2. If you participate with a local/region Amateur Radio Group would you discuss with them possible participating in such an exercise?

Don't feel obligated to enter a detailed message if it's difficult; the important part is the Subject line!

The VDEN website (https://vden.org) includes information about the Central Virginia BBSes, how to send personal mail and bulletins, and methods for connecting over RF (Packet / Vara via Terminal / Winlink / Outpost).

Bulletins created on the N4VEM BBS will be forwarded over Vara FM to the KN4LQN BBS, which will then forward over Vara HF to the N3MEL BBS and the wider regional packet network.
